Škoda is expanding its award-winning Kodiaq range with the introduction of a new flagship L&K model. Named after brand founders Václav Laurin and Václav Klement, the new edition builds on the success of its predecessor and once again offers one of the most comprehensive specification lists in the Škoda line-up.

Škoda Auto posted strong results in Q1–Q3 2025: revenue rose to €22.344B (+9.5%), operating profit to €1.790B (+5.4%), and net cash flow reached €1.934B (–2.8%). RoS held steady at 8.0%. Global deliveries hit 765,700 units (+14.1%), with 616,300 in Europe, securing 3rd place. BEV/PHEV share rose to 24.1% (2024: 11.1%), led by Elroq and Enyaq. Elroq surpassed 100K orders. India saw record growth (+106.1%), and Vietnam began production of Kushaq and Slavia.

Škoda Auto is an official partner of the Bolero UCI Gravel World Championships for the first time. Held this weekend in Limburg, the fourth edition unites elite pros and amateur riders on the same course. Škoda is supporting the event with seven electrified vehicles, including five Enyaqs and showcasing the all-electric Elroq trackside. Škoda is set to deliver a double bonus for customers with the addition of a new long-range model to the award-winning Elroq line-up along with official confirmation of models eligible for the Band 2 £1,500 UK Government’s Electric Car Grant (ECG)‡. Škoda Auto is an official partner of the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships for the first time this year. The event runs from 30 August to 14 September across seven venues in Valais, Switzerland. Škoda Auto took part in the 15th Prague Pride Festival for the 4th consecutive year and, for the first time, served as the event’s main partner. More than 100 employees joined workshops and the main parade. Colleagues from partner organisations 42 Prague, Digiteq Automotive and Škoda Auto University also marched alongside the Škoda team. Festival-goers were able to view the Elroq Respectline, a car celebrating mutual respect, diversity and inclusion. In June this dedication earned the company the Pride Business Forum’s Award in Bronze category for LGBTQ+ Friendly Employer.

This year, Škoda Auto again served as the official main partner of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, the largest women’s cycling event. In addition to the year-round vehicle fleet provided to the organiser A.S.O., the Czech carmaker supplied a fleet of 32 electrified Enyaq and Superb iV vehicles. Škoda UK is offering a £1,500 ‘Grant Guarantee’^‡ from 1 August, giving customers a saving when they order selected Elroq and Enyaq SUV models^* by 31 August and take delivery with the new ‘75’ plate from 1 September 2025. Seventy-five years ago, Škoda lined up for the first time at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Škoda Sport racing special. The 112th Tour de France gets underway tomorrow, and Škoda Auto is once again joining as the main partner – its 22nd year in this role. Among them will be two ‘Red Cars’ – the new Škoda Enyaq and Superb iV – for Race Director Christian Prudhomme. Škoda has dominated the 2025 Auto Express New Car Awards by claiming no fewer than four category wins along with the coveted Car of the Year award. Škoda Auto has taken another significant step toward future-proofing its main plant in Mladá Boleslav by laying the foundation stone for an advanced paint shop. Scheduled to open in 2029, the facility will have a daily capacity of up to 1,600 units. The state-of-the-art facility will utilise automation, robotics, and advanced technologies to enhance the quality of each protective coating applied. Capable of painting vehicles built on both internal combustion (ICE) and electric platforms, the facility will significantly enhance operational efficiency and flexibility.

The upcoming Acropolis Rally Greece (26-29 June 2025) is one of the toughest gravel events across the calendar of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). On the back of their WRC2 victory at Rally Italia Sardegna, Italian Škoda pairing Roberto Daprà/Luca Guglielmetti aim again for a top position. Britain‘s Gus Greensmith, who shares a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 with Swedish co-driver Jonas Andersson, aims to improve on his fourth position in the current WRC2 overall standings.

The new Škoda Enyaq has added another award to its growing list of industry accolades by scooping one of the automotive world’s more unique awards. Thanks to its exceptional practicality and calming drive, the all-electric SUV and Coupé was named Best Car for Dogs at Autotrader’s annual Drivers’ Choice Awards.

The tenth Škoda Student Car sees 28 trainees writing another chapter in the history of the Škoda Academy in Mladá Boleslav. The Škoda L&K 130 and its special colour scheme pay homage to company founders Václav Laurin and Václav Klement, who started by building bicycles 130 years ago. The one-off model is the first Student Car to be based on the Škoda Superb Estate model. With a pick-up-like loading area and many clever ideas, it is designed as a support vehicle for professional bicycle races.

Škoda Motorsport is showcasing the latest version of its recently presented all-electric racing car concept: the new Enyaq RS Race. Rooted in the Czech brand’s racing DNA, this concept supports the development of innovative technologies and sustainable materials. The lower and wider concept car incorporates innovative, sustainable biocomposite parts that provide the same rigidity and weight advantages as carbon fibre, contributing to an overall weight reduction of more than 300kg.

Škoda Auto is launching the vRS range-topper six months after the world premiere of the all-new Škoda Elroq, which competes in the popular electric compact SUV segment. The latest member of the vRS family has two motors generating a total system output of 340 PS (250 kW) and is equipped with all-wheel drive. The Škoda Elroq vRS comes with an electric range of 339 miles on the WLTP cycle, specific vRS accessories and comprehensive standard equipment. It is also the fastest accelerating car in Škoda’s current model portfolio, sprinting from 0 to 62 mph in 5.4 seconds.

The new Škoda Kodiaq has shown it’s more than just a family SUV – it’s now officially the best in the business for towing, according to What Car? and The Camping and Caravanning Club. The Czech SUV has been named overall Tow Car of the Year 2025 after seeing off a raft of competition and impressing a panel of expert judges.

Next week, 28 students from the Škoda Auto Secondary Vocational School of Engineering will unveil the tenth Škoda Student Car, named the Škoda L&K 130. The designation of this one-off vehicle reflects Škoda Auto’s 130-year heritage, as does its striking colour scheme. The combination of red, gold and black pays tribute to the original Laurin & Klement logo used on the company's earliest cars in 1905.

Škoda is expanding its new Enyaq range with the addition of a SportLine derivative that will sit alongside the recently introduced 85x (4WD) model. The UCI Gravel World Championships are scheduled for October 2025 in the Netherlands. Ahead of its arrival in the UK this summer, Škoda has confirmed final pricing and specifications for the new Elroq vRS – the brand’s fastest-accelerating production model to date. The new sporting flagship of the Elroq range will start from £46,560 (OTR) when order books open on mid-June.

The end of the school year at Škoda Auto educational facilities is traditionally marked by the unveiling of the latest Student Car. This year, 28 current students from the Škoda Auto Secondary Vocational School of Engineering were inspired by the company’s 130th anniversary when building the 10th Škoda Student Car. With the bodywork and construction now complete, the project is heading to the paint shop. The name of the newest addition Škoda’s Student Car line-up will be revealed in the upcoming weeks.

Škoda is offering Elroq and Enyaq owners the opportunity to send messages to each other via an optional new feature. Designed to help busy couples and families to communicate, the new ŠkodAlert system utilises the Elroq and Enyaq’s illuminated Tech-Deck face – a fundamental design element of Škoda’s bold Modern Solid design language. 

Škoda Auto has released a teaser clip of the all-new Elroq vRS, offering a first glimpse of both its exterior and interior. The world premiere of the most dynamic Elroq model will take place on 3 April at 09:00 BST, streamed live on Škoda’s official YouTube channel. The Elroq vRS will then make its public exhibition debut at Milan Design Week 2025, running from 8 to 13 April.

Škoda Auto and regional partner and investor, the Thanh Cong Group, officially opened a new production plant in Vietnam on 26 March for the assembly of Škoda Slavia and Kushaq cars. This marks a significant milestone in the brand’s internationalisation strategy, reinforcing its ambition to strengthen its presence beyond its European home market. By importing completely knocked-down (CKD) kits of the Kushaq SUV from India and assembling them locally, Škoda is capitalising on geographical synergies.

The Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 has entered its third full season. With more than 600 podium finishes the latest Rally2-spec car from Mladá Boleslav is a major contender in the WRC2 category of the FIA World Rally Championship, the FIA European Rally Championship, and numerous continental and national championships. To maintain its competitive edge, Škoda Motorsport is continuously refining the car. A comprehensive package of performance enhancing components has now been homologated and will be available to buyers of new cars as well as owners of existing Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 vehicles.

90 years ago, Škoda Auto began production of the Superb at its Mladá Boleslav plant. The model became synonymous with a comfortable, refined, and dynamic driving experience. Production continued until 1949. In 2001, the legendary name returned with the first modern-generation Škoda Superb. Available as a Hatch or Estate, featuring a choice of petrol and diesel engines, as well as mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The plug-in hybrid variants, the Superb Estate iV and Superb Hatch iV, offer an electric range of more than 75 miles. Customers can also opt for front- or all-wheel drive.

Škoda UK has announced the winners of its annual Retailer of the Year Awards 2024, with Vindis Škoda (Bury St Edmunds) crowned best of the best.

2024 was the best financial year in the history of Škoda Auto Group. Achieving record sales revenue of €27.8 bn (+4.7%) and an operating profit of €2.3 bn (+30.0%). Net cash flow more than doubled, exceeding €2 bn (+116.2%), and return on sales further increased to 8.3%. The improved financial figures are driven by higher sales, favourable mix effects, and beneficial exchange rates, alongside the consistent implementation of the Next Level Efficiency+ programme, with a strong focus on optimising costs.

On Thursday, 13 March, at 10:15 GMT, Škoda Auto will publish its 2024 annual financial results. The Czech carmaker will present key financial figures for 2024, highlight current developments, and provide an outlook on its strategic plans. All information will be shared via a press release and a dedicated video, both available on the Škoda Storyboard. In line with its commitment to always offering that little bit extra, Škoda will also include an exclusive first glimpse of an upcoming all-new fully electric vehicle in the video.

As Škoda Auto celebrates its 130th anniversary this year, the company is also marking half a century since the Škoda 130 RS made its public debut at the Most circuit. With a string of international successes on rally stages and racetracks, this legendary competition car has earned a lasting place in motorsport history. Its legacy lives on today, with the RS badge featured on the most dynamic models in Škoda’s current line-up. In addition to the special exhibition in the prototype and sports car depository at the Škoda Museum.

Škoda has officially entered the Omani market, marking the strategic expansion across the Middle East. The launch includes the opening of a fully digital, state-of-the-art showroom in Muscat, developed in partnership with Premium Motors, part of the Alfardan Group. Škoda will be introducing a full range of ICE models, including spacious saloons and a diverse SUV line-up. The SUV portfolio ranges from the compact Kushaq, imported from India and leveraging synergies given the geographical proximity, to the all-new seven-seater flagship Kodiaq, which is also available with all-wheel drive.

The successor to Europe’s third best-selling all-electric model series last year has entered production: Škoda Auto has begun assembling the new Enyaq at its main plant in Mladá Boleslav. The Enyaq family is the Czech carmaker’s second production model to adopt the Modern Solid design language, which combines robustness, functionality, and authenticity. The new Enyaq boasts enhanced aerodynamics for an extended range, sustainable materials in the interior and new digital features. The production line has an average daily output of up to 300 Enyaq's.

The new Škoda Superb has secured a key category win in the annual UK Car of the Year awards, reaffirming its position as the benchmark car in the segment. The judging panel praised the new Superb for its all-round ability, exceptional practicality and value for money.

Škoda has expanded its highly-anticipated Elroq line-up ahead of its arrival on UK roads. Škoda has added a range of additional variants that are available to order now, including a new SportLine trim. The sporting flagship of the range will introduce a striking look and bespoke interior, along with a revised suspension set-up to deliver an even more dynamic driving experience. Joining the SportLine will be Elroq SE L 60 and Edition 60 derivatives, which will be positioned between the entry-level SE 50 and the Edition 85 variants.

Škoda Auto entered the highly dynamic Indian market 25 years ago: In January 2000 the Czech car manufacturer laid the foundation stone for its plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad until 2022) and was the first Volkswagen Group brand to establish a presence on the local market. Today, the brand developed and produces three models locally in India for India, based on the localised MQB A0–IN platform: the Kushaq, the Slavia, and, most recently, the Kylaq compact SUV, which expands the line-up into the popular sub-4-metre segment.

The all-new Škoda Elroq has started 2025 in style by taking home one of the top honours at the annual What Car? awards. Ahead of the first customer deliveries in April, the compact all-electric SUV has been named Family Electric SUV of the Year in what is widely regarded as the ‘Oscars’ of the automotive world.

In 2024, Škoda Auto manufactured over 925,000 vehicles at its global production facilities, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%. Mladá Boleslav accounted for the share of this success by producing 575,000 Škoda vehicles. The company also continued to strengthen its international operations: capacity at the Pune plant in India was expanded for the Kylaq. Additionally, preparations for vehicle assembly in Vietnam were finalised, and Kodiaq SKD production started in Kazakhstan.

Škoda has confirmed final UK pricing and specifications for the all-new Superb SportLine, the latest addition to the brand’s award-winning hatchback and estate. Positioned between the existing SE L and L&K models, the new SportLine model combines striking looks with exceptional practicality, and agile driving dynamics. Priced from £42,290 OTR, the Superb SportLine is available to order now.

Škoda Auto has launched series production of its all-electric Elroq at the company’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav. To accommodate a daily output of up to 600 Elroq units, part of the Octavia’s production was relocated to the Kvasiny plant last year. Positioned as one of the most affordable offerings in its segment across Europe, the Elroq reaches price parity with its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart in several markets. Škoda Auto achieved a strong sales performance in 2024, delivering 926,600 vehicles to customers worldwide – a year-on-year increase of 6.9% despite a very dynamic market environment. Germany remained the company’s largest market, with 187,100 vehicles delivered, representing an increase of 29,200 cars compared to 2023. Significant absolute increases were also recorded in Türkiye (8,600), the United Kingdom (8,400), Poland (7,500), and Spain (6,200). The updated Octavia maintained its status as Škoda’s top-selling model, with 215,700 units delivered (+12.4%).

Škoda produced its one-millionth battery system.The carmaker has been manufacturing high voltage traction batteries since 2019, when it launched battery production for the Superb iV with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The company is focused exclusively on producing larger batteries for fully electric vehicles based on the MEB platform; two assembly lines achieve a combined daily output of 1,500 units. These batteries, with capacities ranging from 55 to 91 kWh (net capacity 52 to 86 kWh), are installed in the Škoda Enyaq and Škoda Elroq as well as other Volkswagen Group brands.

The all-new Škoda Kodiaq has added to its remarkable tally of industry accolades with another best-in-category title. The Czech seven-seater SUV was crowned Best Family Car at the 2024 Scottish Car of the Year Awards, seven years after the first-generation its first SCOTY award.

Two of Škoda’s newest arrivals have been honoured in the 2025 Carwow Car of the Year Awards. The all-new Superb and Kodiaq, which arrived in the UK earlier this year, were both recognised as exceptional offerings in their respective classes with the Superb topping its category and the Kodiaq winning a ‘Highly Commended’ accolade. In selecting its winners, the Carwow jury considered more than 100 new models before awarding just 13 category winners.

Škoda Auto India unveils the all-new Škoda Kylaq, the Czech brand’s first model in the popular sub-4-metre segment, which accounts for nearly 50% of sales in the Indian car market. The Kylaq SUV is the first model in India to adopt elements of Škoda’s new Modern Solid design language. It is powered by an efficient 1.0 TSI engine and features more than 25 active and passive safety features as standard. The latest addition to Škoda’s line-up, developed and produced locally for the Indian market, will hit the roads in early 2025 with a very competitive price tag of INR 789,000 (around EUR 8,700).

Škoda is partnering with digital newspaper and magazine reading app Readly to offer owners free access to the brand’s extensive library of content. The partnership, which gives Škoda owners two months of free reading on the Readly app, is the first of its kind in the automotive market.

Škoda maintains its positive momentum: deliveries to customers in the first nine months of 2024 increased to 671,300 vehicles (+4.5% YoY). This growth was supported by a strong third quarter, with 222,700 vehicles delivered (+6%). The automaker is performing particularly well in Europe, outpacing the overall European market. The company’s financial figures underscore its position of strength: revenue increased to €20.4 billion (+3.8%), operating profit rose by 34.8% to €1.7 billion, and the return on sales (RoS) reached 8.3% (6.4%).

The second generation of the dynamic range-topping Škoda Kodiaq vRS model benefits from a significant increase in power. The new 2.0 TSI petrol engine now produces 195 kW (265 hp). With its gloss black exterior details extending all the way to the D-pillar, the sporty Kodiaq version is instantly recognisable as a member of Škoda’s vRS family. The specific exterior look is underlined by sporty bumpers and the front grille’s horizontal light strip. The extensive standard equipment includes LED Matrix beam headlights, progressive steering, DCC Plus and a Canton sound system.

The Škoda Kamiq has been crowned Best Small Family Car at the Parkers New Car Awards 2025, just months after receiving a host of upgrades that make it even more compelling than before. The Kamiq beat last year’s overall Car of The Year to take the Best Small Family Car title.

Škoda has repeated its silverware hat-trick by winning another three titles in Carbuyer Awards. Having driven off with a trio of wins in 2023, the Czech brand has repeated its performance in 2024. The new Kodiaq, new Superb and updated Octavia were named the stars of the show, with all three seeing off stiff competition to take key category victories.

Škoda is ramping up customer value once again with a comprehensive refresh of Karoq trim grades. Following a successful introduction on the Fabia, Scala and Kamiq, the Karoq line-up will now be offered with value-packed Edition grades that deliver significantly higher levels of equipment than before. The Škoda Felicia was introduced in October 1994 as a modern five-door hatchback successor to the Favorit. Six months later, the practical estate variant followed. It was the first car developed in collaboration with the Volkswagen Group after joining forces with Škoda in 1991. Between 1994 and 2001, more than 1.4 million Felicia models were produced, with the car also achieving success in motorsport.

Škoda Motorsport presents a new all-electric racing car concept: the Enyaq RS Race. Rooted in the Czech brand’s racing DNA, this concept supports the development of innovative technologies and sustainable materials, serving as a pilot project for future production models. The lower and wider concept car incorporates innovative, sustainable biocomposite parts that provide the same rigidity and weight advantages as carbon fibre, contributing to an overall weight reduction of 316 kg compared to the Škoda Enyaq Coupé vRS on which it is based.

The new Elroq, Škoda’s anticipated all-electric compact SUV, will start from just £31,500 when order books open on 18 October 2024. Positioned below the multi-award-winning Enyaq in Škoda’s line-up, Elroq will become the brand’s second all-electric model to be built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform.

It’s not long before the wraps come off the new Škoda Elroq, one of the most important new cars in Škoda’s long and illustrious history. The brilliant Škoda Enyaq may have put Škoda firmly on the electric vehicle map, but the Elroq is set to take things on even further as the first of a new generation of Škoda EVs.

When Liz and Graham picked up the keys to their brand-new electric Enyaq, they had an idea. To embark on a European tour with a big first destination in mind: the Škoda Museum in the Czech Republic. We caught up with them to see how they found driving such long distances in their first ever electric car.

The first updated Škoda Octavia built at the Kvasiny plant has rolled off the production line. The production of additional units of the brand's bestseller in Kvasiny has been made possible thanks to the manufacturing of the new-generation Superb moving to the Volkswagen plant in Bratislava. At the same time, production of the Octavia continues at Škoda’s main facility in Mladá Boleslav. Around 7.5 million units have been produced since the first modern-generation Octavia was introduced in 1996.

The Škoda Superb Sportline is the most athletic of the Superb models. Its dynamic appeal is immediately apparent from its 19" alloy wheels, exterior accents in gloss black and redesigned Sportline badges. Available with a choice of two Sportline interiors, both feature heated front sports seats with integrated head restraints and manually adjustable cushion length. Progressive steering and a sports chassis lowered by 15 mm as well as LED Matrix beam headlights and LED rear lights with animated indicators are included as standard.

For 25 years, the Škoda Fabia has been a cornerstone of the brand’s product range. Along with the Octavia, it has enjoyed a continuous production run and become the brand’s second biggest selling car of all time. Through four generations it has set sector standards for practicality, comfort and value and won countless awards along the way.

Škoda’s flagship model for more than 20 years, the Superb has enjoyed a unique status in the brand’s line-up. Launched in 2001 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Superb quickly became the benchmark car in its sector for quality, practicality and value. The Elroq’s interior emphasises simplicity, spaciousness, and clean lines. At the same time, the selected materials underscore Škoda’s commitment to environmental protection and reducing the CO2 footprint of its vehicles: the seats and upholstery fabrics are made from recycled plastic bottles and, for the first time, recycled clothing. These are carefully reprocessed into high-quality new yarns and fabrics for the Elroq.

A fully updated evolution of the Octavia vRS will be available to order from 14 August and available from £38,670 OTR. The sporting flagship of the revised Octavia range becomes the most powerful production Octavia ever offered by Škoda thanks to its revised 2.0 TSI engine that now generates 265PS. The new vRS will be joined by a new diesel-powered SportLine model as part of Škoda’s update of the Octavia line-up.

From 12 to 18 August, 154 riders from 22 teams will embark on a 950 km route across eight stages through the Netherlands, Belgium and France. Škoda Auto is providing the organisers with 70 electric and plug-in hybrid Škoda cars. Race Director Marion Rousse, will oversee the event from an all-electric Enyaq, which will be serving as the Red Car. Škoda achieved solid sales and financial results in the first six months of 2024. The key financial figures underscore the brand’s strong position: sales revenue of €13.652 billion remains comparable to H1 2023 (-0.7%); operating profit rose to €1.149 billion (2023: +26.1%); return on sales increased to 8.4% (6.6%); net cash flow totalled €1.408 billion (+135.8%). The automaker delivered 448,600 vehicles^¹ from January to June, 3.8% higher than in the same period last year.

A camouflaged Škoda Elroq, the brand’s latest all-electric model to be unveiled this autumn, joined the final-stage time trial of this year's 111th edition of the Tour de France to accompany the riders. But as I prepare for what will hopefully be my 9th Paralympic Games in Paris in September, it does get a bit difficult juggling an intense training schedule with a very active family life. Here’s how I do it.

Top ratings for the all-new Škoda Kodiaq and Superb. Both models have achieved the maximum five stars in the independent Euro NCAP crash safety reference test. Škoda has landed another haul of industry accolades by taking three category honours at the annual Auto Express New Car Awards and driving off with a major title in the EcoCar Electrified Top 50 Awards. All-electric addition to the family: set for autumn 2024, the Elroq will soon expand Škoda Auto’s all-electric SUV. With plenty of space, including 470 litres to 1,580 litres of luggage capacity along with compact exterior dimensions and clever storage options, the Elroq is ideal for urban and suburban driving. Škoda Auto marks its 21st consecutive year as the official main partner of the Tour de France. The 111th race begins on 29 June with the Grand Départ in Florence, Italy. On most stages, the all-electric Škoda Enyaq will be serving Tour director Christian Prudhomme as the ‘Red Car’, leading the peloton throughout the race. The route will take 205 Škoda support cars nearly 3,500 kilometres to reach Nice on 21 July. The functionality of Škoda’s voice assistant Laura has been significantly expanded thanks to the integration of Chat Pro from technology partner Cerence Inc.. Alongside previously available sources of information, the Chat Pro function is now directly connected to the advanced AI tool ChatGPT to answer questions beyond the scope of Laura’s original knowledge. The feature is now available in Škoda Enyaq family models with the new 4.0 software version released for the 2024 model year, the new-generation Škoda Superb and Kodiaq as well as the updated Škoda Octavia.

Effective from 3 June 2024, Chan Park has assumed the role of Head of Interior Design at Škoda Auto. The alumnus of the Royal College of Art joins the Czech carmaker with a wealth of experience from several major automotive brands. In the future, the interior of Škoda’s production and concept vehicles will bear his signature. In addition to a minimalist design approach, Park will focus on enhancing the synergy between driver and vehicle. His predecessor, Peter Olah, is taking on a new role at Škoda Design and will be responsible for the Art Direction - One Design Identity in the future.

Škoda has become the official car partner to Silverstone in a deal that will see the Czech brand join forces with the home of British motorsport. Škoda, which enjoys a rich motorsport heritage dating back more than 120 years, will work closely with the Northamptonshire-based circuit over the course of the next 12 months and play a key role in logistics operations at the forthcoming Formula 1 Qatar Airways British Grand Prix in July.

Our car could tell some stories. From long motorway journeys with whingeing toddlers to emergency A&E dashes thanks to wrestling injuries, the Kodiaq has seen it all. Škoda Auto has updated the hatchback and estate versions of its iconic Octavia. With more than 7 million units sold, it is by far the brand’s best-selling model. Its fourth modern generation has now been given a freshened look that includes a revised Škoda grille and new second-generation LED Matrix beam headlights. Škoda Auto has started 2024 with solid financial and sales results. Demand for the Czech car manufacturer’s models remains high: in the first three months of the year, Škoda Auto delivered 220,500 vehicles worldwide (+5.2%), while the order books continue to show promise. The return on sales (RoS) remains robust at 8.1%. Net cash flow reached €457 million (+10.7%). In the first quarter, there was a modest decline in sales revenue by 3.2%, totalling €6,574 million compared to the previous year, with an operating profit of €535 million, a decrease of 1.3%.

Škoda Auto has introduced its own ‘Curiosity Fuel’ coffee at its Czech plants. The coffee, which is grown, roasted and packaged specially for the car manufacturer, preserves the local environment and supports fair and secure wages for local workers by adhering to Rainforest Alliance principles. Additionally, the coffee aims to ‘fuel curiosity’ about sustainable practices along the entire value chain.

Škoda Auto is introducing the Škoda Vision Gran Turismo, a spectacular all-electric concept car, into the Gran Turismo 7 PlayStation game, thus expanding the carmaker’s presence in the digital racing world. Drawing inspiration from the 1957 Škoda 1100 OHC Spider, the fully electric all-wheel drive Škoda Vision Gran Turismo is equipped with four electric motors, delivering a powerful total output of 800 kW*.

Škoda Auto has launched series production of the refreshed Octavia at its main plant in Mladá Boleslav. Small becomes epic: Škoda Auto has revealed the name of its battery-electric city SUV crossover, along with a design study showing a first glimpse of the new model. The Škoda Epiq, due to be unveiled in 2026, will cost around 25,000 euros. At 4.1 metres in length, it will feature a spacious interior and up to 490 litres of luggage capacity. The East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) has chosen the Škoda Enyaq to provide zero-emission rapid response support across the East Midlands region, as it looks to electrify its fleet and work towards net zero.

Škoda Auto is comprehensively updating its compact Škoda Scala and Škoda Kamiq city SUV model series. Both models offer a high level of active and passive safety, courtesy of rigid bodies and a now even more advanced range of assistance systems. Being based on the same MQB-A0 platform, both the Scala and the Kamiq feature efficient, modern TSI engines from the evo2 generation, with power outputs ranging from 70 kW (95 hp) to 110 kW (150 hp). With its refined, sharply drawn lines, the Scala looks even more dynamic, while the Kamiq’s design adjustments lend it more rugged SUV appeal.

Škoda has made the expressive design of its compact Scala even more distinctive. With a redesigned Škoda grille and revised aprons at the front and rear, the refreshed hatchback model is even more reminiscent of the spectacular Vision RS concept. Tour de France Femmes avec ZWIFT's second edition concluded in Pau after 8 stages and 956km. Dutch cyclist Demi Vollering won the overall title, while Belgian Lotte Kopecky claimed the Points classification and received a green Bohemian crystal trophy from Škoda Design. Škoda Auto continues its journey towards achieving carbon neutrality. Its subsidiary ŠKO-ENERGO, an energy provider is launching a project to modernise the plant to use 100% biomass. Construction begins in 2024. By transitioning to wood chips and phyto-pellets, energy production will become carbon neutral. With estimated costs of €141 million, the upgraded heating plant will be one of the largest in the Czech Republic and operational within three years.
