Škoda has secured yet more silverware for its best-selling electric models at the annual Fleet News Awards. The Elroq and Enyaq were named as clear winners in two of the most competitive categories in the industry, comfortably outscoring both electric and ICE-powered rivals to take their respective titles.
Enyaq & Elroq electrify Fleet News Awards with two top wins
Leading the charge was the Elroq, which was named Best Compact SUV by the Fleet News team. The judging panel praised the Elroq for its exceptional all-round skills, highlighting its low running costs, practicality and value money. Commenting on the Elroq’s win, Stephen Briers, editor of Fleet News said: “The Elroq is the runaway winner in this category, it does everything just right. Styling, range and size combine with competitive whole life costs and a strong aftersales proposition. An outstanding car.”
The Elroq’s success in the Compact SUV category was mirrored by its larger sibling, the Enyaq, which recorded an equally impressive win in the Mid-size SUV category. As with the Elroq, the Enyaq saw off electric and combustion-engined competition to be crowned the winner.
“The Enyaq has the range and specification to satisfy everyone,” said Stephen Briers. “From entry level to sporty, as well as two- and four-wheel drive. It’s even being converted into a van by some fleets — an all-round great car.”
As with the Elroq, the panel were impressed with the Enyaq’s quality, comfort and packaging. Having made the shortlist in the same category in 2025, recent range updates along with the fact that selected models qualify for the Government’s Electric Car Grant meant that the Enyaq was a clear winner.
Since launch, the Elroq and Enyaq have racked up a strong run of recent industry awards, highlighting Škoda’s growing impact in the EV market. The Elroq leads the way, having been crowned overall Car of the Year at the Auto Express New Car Awards, as well as taking Mid-size SUV of the Year at the same event, alongside further major honours including Best Family Electric SUV at the What Car? Awards and additional Car of the Year titles from key media outlets.
Meanwhile, the Enyaq continues to build on its reputation, most recently winning Best Used Electric Family SUV at the What Car? Electric Car Awards, reinforcing its long-term appeal.
