Škoda confirms UK further details for new, all-electric Epiq

Škoda has confirmed final UK specifications, pricing and order details for the new, all-electric Epiq. The Epiq extends the brand’s electric model range into the entry-level segment, combining compact dimensions with a spacious interior and high everyday usability.

With a starting price of just £24,950 OTR, the Epiq achieves price parity with its ICE counterpart, the Kamiq, making it the most affordable fully electric Škoda model and bringing the brand’s electric vehicles within reach of an even broader group of customers. The city SUV crossover plays a key role in Škoda’s electric portfolio and, together with the new, all-electric Peaq, will double the brand’s all-electric model range. Orders for the new, all-electric Epiq will open in July, starting with SE L and Edition specifications with the 55 battery.

The Epiq is the first Škoda model to be built on the Volkswagen Group’s new MEB+ platform and the brand’s first all-electric model with front-wheel drive. Optimised for a new generation of compact electric vehicles, the platform combines reduced weight with high efficiency.

The UK range will consist of two value-packed trim levels: SE L and Edition. An exclusive First Edition will also be offered from launch featuring a packed specification list that includes a number of unique design elements.

Exterior and interior design

The Epiq’s exterior design is defined by clean lines and intricate details. In addition to the glossy black Tech-Deck Face, the Epiq is characterised by a new T-shaped light signature, a feature that will define the look of future Škoda SUV models, and robust bumper design with O-shaped air inlets – a key Epiq design feature. The Epiq’s compact appearance balances striking design and practicality with a spacious interior. At the same time, aerodynamically optimised features contribute to a drag coefficient of 0.275 which maximises the Epiq’s energy efficiency.

The Epiq will be offered with six paint colour options, five of which are new and include the free-of-charge solid paint colour Marble Grey (solid) and exclusive metallic paint colour Jasper Red. The other solid colour available from launch is Timano Green while metalli options consist of Platinum White, Pebble Silver and Mystery Black. 18-inch alloy wheels are fitted as standard, moving up to 20-inch wheels with the First Edition trim. More optional wheels are also available between 18 to 19-inches across the range.

Inside, the Epiq offers a practical, functional interior, complemented by a 475-litre boot and numerous additional storage solutions. The Epiq also offers under-bonnet storage thanks to the inclusion of a 25-litre front luggage compartment, known as the frunk. The clear, intuitive interior layout follows the Modern Solid design philosophy and combines premium materials, intuitive controls and a wide range of Simply Clever features.

Customers can further personalise their Epiq with a choice of three new interior Design Selections, each combining thoughtfully curated colours with sustainable materials to create a distinctive and sophisticated cabin environment.

Loft Grey, which is standard on SE L and Edition, combines grey fabric and artificial leather with grey stitching and provides a traditional feel with genuine comfort and features a range of sustainable materials. This includes Techtona, a durable, easy-care synthetic leather alternative that reduces chemical use and water consumption during production.

This completely animal-free material has been introduced for the first time in the Škoda Epiq. Loft Mint, which is available as an option on Edition, features mint fabric and grey artificial leather with mint stitching, while Suite (also optional on Edition), comprises brown artificial leather and microsuede with brown stitching.

Connectivity in the new Epiq is centred around a new infotainment system and a 13-inch centre display. The system offers extensive personalisation options, online services and access to a dedicated app store. The MyŠkoda app enables remote access to vehicle information, charging management and selected comfort functions.

Battery, range and performance

The new Škoda Epiq is available with two battery options and two power outputs, all combined with front‑wheel drive. The MEB+ platform allows the use of smaller, lighter batteries that help reduce energy consumption while also improving space efficiency in the interior.

The smaller battery fitted to the Epiq 40 has a usable 37kWh capacity and uses lithium-ion-phosphate (LFP) chemistry. It is expected to deliver a WLTP driving range of around 190 miles. The larger battery fitted to the Epiq 55 offers a usable capacity of 52kWh and uses nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) chemistry, providing a higher energy density and supporting a longer driving range of up to 272 miles on the WLTP cycle.

The Epiq 55 has a peak DC charging speed of 105 kW. Both battery variants can charge from 10-80% in under 25 minutes. In addition, the Epiq supports bidirectional charging, enabling the energy stored in the battery to be used externally or, depending on infrastructure, supplied to a household or the grid. The Epiq also enables full one-pedal driving in B mode, with switchable regeneration intensity. In terms of performance, the Epiq 40 generates 135PS while the Epiq 55 produces 211PS.

Safety and assistance systems

The Epiq comes equipped with a comprehensive range of safety and driver assistance systems typically found in higher vehicle segments. Many are standard, including Front Assist, Side Assist, Lane Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition. Occupant safety is supported by seven airbags as standard, including a centre airbag.

Value and equipment

The new Škoda Epiq comes generously equipped with high levels of technology, comfort and safety features across the range. Advanced LED headlights with daytime running lights and LED rear lights enhance both visibility and presence on the road. Inside, the Epiq is equipped with a 13-inch infotainment screen and a five-inch digital cockpit, delivering an intuitive and connected driving experience. Wireless Smartlink integration ensures seamless smartphone connectivity, while rear parking sensors and one-zone climate control provide added comfort and convenience for both driver and passengers. All models also come equipped with keyless start/stop and adaptive cruise control.

Epiq First Edition

The Epiq First Edition 55 will be offered as a limited edition model and features a number of exterior details not available on other Epiq variants. These include accents in Navajo Orange on the wing-mirror caps, the trim above the side windows, a stripe on the wheel covers, and the surrounds of the vertical openings in both the front and rear bumpers. The two-tone paint finish with black roof and further differentiates the First Edition. Additional features include a black First Edition badge on the tailgate, black roof rails, and 20" alloy wheels that are exclusive to this version.

Inside, the Epiq First Edition is defined by matching design details that underline its distinctive character. Orange stitching is used on the steering wheel, seats and the dashboard while orange seat belts provide a particularly striking visual accent. Further features include a three-spoke sports steering wheel with red stitching and a First Edition badge, a black headlining, sports pedal covers, and decorative door sills that enhance the interior’s sporty feel.

As standard, the Epiq First Edition includes the Convenience and Tech Packages. Optional equipment includes the Travel Package and the Light & View Package. The Epiq First Edition will be offered with the larger 52kWh battery and has a power output of 211PS.
