Charge anywhere

One of the common reasons people give for not making the switch to an electric car is the thought of running out of battery. But thanks to a growing network of public chargers, innovative home charging solutions, and many workplaces offering charge points, it’s becoming an unlikely issue.

From plugging in at the shops to installing a wall-box at home, discover the ways you can keep your car topped up.

Home charging

Charging your car at home is as easy as charging your phone or laptop. In fact if you only use your electric car to travel short distances, chances are you may never need to use a public charging station. Similar to when you plug in your phone, the battery will charge quickest up to 20%, and then slow down after it reaches 80% to protect its longevity.

Two charging options

Three-pin plug

You can plug your car into charge using a regular three-pin domestic socket. Domestic plugs run at 2.3kW and will charge a ŠKODA SUPERB PHEV in around five*

Home wall-box

For faster charging you can install a specialised wall-box, provided you have access to off-street parking. Wall-boxes are more powerful than a domestic socket and will charge an ENYAQ iV 60 Nav in 9.5 hours*. The SUPERB PHEV charges in just 3.5 hours via a wall-box*

ŠKODA and Octopus Energy

We’ve partnered with Octopus Energy to offer £90 of charging credit to new and existing customers who switch to a dual fuel home energy supply. That’s the equivalent of up to 5,000 miles*.

Find your nearest charger easily. Zap Map instantly gives you the location of more than 15,000 charging bays across the UK.

Charging at work

Your employer may see real benefits from installing a charging station where you work. By applying for the Workplace Charging Scheme, they could receive a grant which saves £350 off the installation price for each bay they put in.
