Free Sonos Play speaker for the first Skoda Peaq customers

2026-08-11T16:04:27.072+00:00

Škoda is set to strike the right chord with customers who place an order for a new, all-electric Peaq. To celebrate the brand’s new partnership with premium audio brand maker Sonos, Škoda will be giving away 100 Sonos ‘Play’ portable speakers to the first 100 customers who place a pre-order with a retailer.

The Peaq is the first Škoda model to come with the option of a specially-developed Sonos sound system. The result of close cooperation between Škoda and Sonos, the 16‑speaker, 755 W system is available as part of the Relax option package which is available for all models for £1,800. In addition to the Sonos sound system, the Relax package also adds electrically reclining backrest, extending footrests and massage function for front seats. The package also includes a folding table in the centre console.

The new Sonos system features components developed specifically for the Peaq, and brings the company's sound expertise and renowned audio quality to the in-car environment. A next‑generation A2B booster amplifier and advanced magnetic and membrane technology maximise both efficiency and acoustic performance.

A dual subwoofer with a combined output of 200 W and an 18‑litre enclosure delivers deep, controlled bass, while 3D A‑pillar speakers create an immersive, front‑focused soundstage. Rear surround speakers ensure a rich and balanced listening experience, while precisely engineered metal grilles in the front doors optimise sound transmission. The unique sound experience is rounded off by a cutting edge 3D surround algorithm.

To mark the partnership between Škoda and Sonos, the first 100 customers who place an order for the new Peaq will receive an exclusive Škoda-branded Sonos ‘Play’ speaker, so they can enjoy their music wherever they go. Designed to be taken anywhere, the Sonos ‘Play’ is perfectly suited to family life – just like the Peaq. Connected via Bluetooth when roaming, it also connects over WiFi and can be fully integrated into a multi-room sound system with other Sonos speakers. Like the Peaq, it’s built to cope with real life thanks to a battery that lasts up to 24 hours and an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. Despite its compact size, the Sonos ‘Play’ features stereo sound, Apple AirPlay 2, automatic sound tuning that adjusts to its surroundings, and built-in voice control.

The all-new, all-electric Peaq is Škoda’s first electric seven-seat SUV. Built on the Modular Electrification Toolkit (MEB) platform and produced in Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Republic, the Peaq broadens Škoda’s electric portfolio and plays a key role in doubling Škoda’s electric model range in 2026 – giving customers even more choice.

Priced from £51,980 OTR, the Peaq is the largest and most spacious model in Škoda’s portfolio, delivers a driving range of up to 395 miles and can accommodate seven adults and up to 2,075 litres of luggage space with the second and third row of seats folded flat. Fitted with a 86 kWh (net) battery – the largest ever offered in a Škoda EV – the Peaq also comes with the option of all-wheel drive and power outputs of up to 299PS.

The UK range will consist of three familiar trim grades: SE L, Edition and SportLine with both Edition and SportLine available with all-wheel drive. Customers can fine-tune their car thanks to a variety of carefully curated option packs and interior design selections. These include the Relax package which features the new Sonos sound system.

Order books for the Peaq will open on 20 August, with first deliveries expected early 2027.
