Škoda UK has delivered an exceptional performance in the first half of 2026, setting a raft of new records, from overall sales volume to market share.
Eight straight: Škoda UK smashes H1 2026 Records
The Czech brand has built on the remarkable success of 2025 by increasing sales across both retail and fleet sectors. Driven by strong demand for its range of award-winning EVs and new evolutions of its existing model portfolio, Škoda has reinforced its reputation for delivering outstanding value for money to customers.
Between January and the end of June, Škoda UK set no fewer than eight new records across the business. The brand recorded its highest ever sales volume for the first six months of the year with a total of 46,508 cars registered between 1 January and 30 June 2026. Not only has Škoda registered more cars than ever before in H1, it has also set a new brand record for orders, highlighting strong ongoing demand for its broad range of models. Confirming its ongoing popularity with fleet buyers, Škoda also recorded its highest ever True Fleet order take for the year to date.
H1’s strong sales figures saw Škoda reach its highest ever market share of 4.3% for June, with the overall figure for the first six months of the year being the second highest in the brand’s history at 4.1% (half year record of 4.2% was set in 2025).
Škoda’s performance is all the more impressive given that the brand has delivered growth across all key sales channels, proving its appeal among both retail and fleet customers. At 3.4%, Škoda recorded its highest ever retail market share for the year to date. Demand was also strong enough to see Škoda ranked 5th overall for True Fleet registrations. Overall, the brand sits 9th for market share.
Škoda’s performance in the UK has helped the brand achieve record figures across the European market. In Q1 2026, Škoda Auto delivered 222,500 vehicles across the region (EU27+4). This represents a +17.1% increase and propelled Škoda to the region’s second best-selling car brand for the first time*. As in the UK, the brand’s all-electric models have been key to its popularity with customers. The multi-award-winning all-electric Elroq and Enyaq family ranked second and fifth respectively among the best-selling electric vehicles in Europe in Q1/2026.
In the UK, the Enyaq (including Coupe) led the way with 8,529 registrations, ahead of the Kodiaq and Elroq with 7,227 and 6,902 registrations respectively.
