Škoda is kicking off its 130th anniversary celebrations with the world premiere of the new Enyaq and Enyaq Coupé. Scheduled for Wednesday, 8 January at 09:00 GMT, the reveal will take place on Škoda’s official YouTube channel. A comprehensive press kit on the brand’s new all-electric bestseller will also be available for download on the Škoda Storyboard.
Škoda has released exterior sketches of the new Enyaq and Enyaq Coupé, offering a first glimpse of the major design update for its all-electric best-seller. The sketches highlight key elements of the Modern Solid design language, including a reimagined front featuring an illuminated Tech-Deck Face, Škoda lettering, and LED Matrix beam headlights integrated into a striking new bumper. Additional design highlights include Unique Dark Chrome accents and the Enyaq-exclusive Olive Green colour. As one of Europe’s best-selling BEVs in 2024, the Škoda Enyaq family topped the sales charts in October.
Škoda Auto has launched series production of its new Škoda Kylaq at the Pune manufacturing plant. The SUV celebrated its world premiere in Mumbai, with the first deliveries to local customers scheduled for January 2025. The new Kylaq, which is the third vehicle from Škoda to be both developed and produced locally, targets the highly popular sub-4-metre SUV market. It is also the first model in India with elements of Škoda’s new Modern Solid design language. The car is equipped with an efficient yet powerful 1.0 TSI engine and more than 25 standard active and passive safety features.
The all-new Škoda Elroq is the Czech brand’s first all-electric model in the strategically important compact SUV category. It is the first model to adopt Škoda’s new Modern Solid design language. The Elroq offers a comprehensive line-up of powertrain and battery options, with a maximum range of up to 360 miles. Its extensive standard equipment includes a rear-view camera, Crew Protect Assist, Blind Spot Detection, 13-inch infotainment and SmartLink. Škoda produced its one-millionth battery system.The carmaker has been manufacturing high voltage traction batteries since 2019, when it launched battery production for the Superb iV with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The company is focused exclusively on producing larger batteries for fully electric vehicles based on the MEB platform; two assembly lines achieve a combined daily output of 1,500 units. These batteries, with capacities ranging from 55 to 91 kWh (net capacity 52 to 86 kWh), are installed in the Škoda Enyaq and Škoda Elroq as well as other Volkswagen Group brands.
Two of Škoda’s newest arrivals have been honoured in the 2025 Carwow Car of the Year Awards. The all-new Superb and Kodiaq, which arrived in the UK earlier this year, were both recognised as exceptional offerings in their respective classes with the Superb topping its category and the Kodiaq winning a ‘Highly Commended’ accolade. In selecting its winners, the Carwow jury considered more than 100 new models before awarding just 13 category winners.

It is powered by an efficient 1.0 TSI engine and features more than 25 active and passive safety features as standard. The latest addition to Škoda’s line-up, developed and produced locally for the Indian market, will hit the roads in early 2025 with a very competitive price tag of INR 789,000 (around EUR 8,700).
Škoda is partnering with digital newspaper and magazine reading app Readly to offer owners free access to the brand’s extensive library of content. The partnership, which gives Škoda owners two months of free reading on the Readly app, is the first of its kind in the automotive market.
Škoda maintains its positive momentum: deliveries to customers in the first nine months of 2024 increased to 671,300 vehicles (+4.5% YoY). This growth was supported by a strong third quarter, with 222,700 vehicles delivered (+6%). The automaker is performing particularly well in Europe, outpacing the overall European market. The company’s financial figures underscore its position of strength: revenue increased to €20.4 billion (+3.8%), operating profit rose by 34.8% to €1.7 billion, and the return on sales (RoS) reached 8.3% (6.4%).
The second generation of the dynamic range-topping Škoda Kodiaq vRS model benefits from a significant increase in power. The new 2.0 TSI petrol engine now produces 195 kW (265 hp). With its gloss black exterior details extending all the way to the D-pillar, the sporty Kodiaq version is instantly recognisable as a member of Škoda’s vRS family. The specific exterior look is underlined by sporty bumpers and the front grille’s horizontal light strip. The extensive standard equipment includes LED Matrix beam headlights, progressive steering, DCC Plus and a Canton sound system.
Škoda has repeated its silverware hat-trick by winning another three titles in Carbuyer Awards. Having driven off with a trio of wins in 2023, the Czech brand has repeated its performance in 2024. The new Kodiaq, new Superb and updated Octavia were named the stars of the show, with all three seeing off stiff competition to take key category victories.

The Škoda Felicia was introduced in October 1994 as a modern five-door hatchback successor to the Favorit. Six months later, the practical estate variant followed. It was the first car developed in collaboration with the Volkswagen Group after joining forces with Škoda in 1991. Between 1994 and 2001, more than 1.4 million Felicia models were produced, with the car also achieving success in motorsport.
Škoda Motorsport presents a new all-electric racing car concept: the Enyaq RS Race. Rooted in the Czech brand’s racing DNA, this concept supports the development of innovative technologies and sustainable materials, serving as a pilot project for future production models. The lower and wider concept car incorporates innovative, sustainable biocomposite parts that provide the same rigidity and weight advantages as carbon fibre, contributing to an overall weight reduction of 316 kg compared to the Škoda Enyaq Coupé vRS on which it is based.
The new Elroq, Škoda’s anticipated all-electric compact SUV, will start from just £31,500 when order books open on 18 October 2024. Positioned below the multi-award-winning Enyaq in Škoda’s line-up, Elroq will become the brand’s second all-electric model to be built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform.
It’s not long before the wraps come off the new Škoda Elroq, one of the most important new cars in Škoda’s long and illustrious history.
