So, what is an electric car?
Let’s start with a straightforward definition. An electric car is a vehicle that runs on electricity instead of petrol or diesel. It uses a battery to power an electric motor, which makes the wheels turn. To charge the battery you plug it into a charging point, a bit like charging a phone. Electric cars are usually quieter than petrol or diesel cars and they don’t produce exhaust fumes.
How do Electric Cars Work?
PHEV technology
