Recall Action: Welding and folding issue, 02 October 2020
Škoda Auto discovered a construction failure with the Škoda Scooter that was sold to customers in 2019 and 2020. As a result, Škoda Auto decided to recall all delivered scooters and stop sales of the new scooters. Škoda Auto recommends not to operate the scooter anymore and to contact customers´ Škoda Partner.
Due to insufficient welding on the scooter, two connected parts of the skeleton can get broken apart. The second potential issue is that the folding mechanism will not work correctly. Unfortunately customers can't recognise if the welding is strong enough or if the folding mechanism works properly.
