Škoda Auto confirmed its strong position in the global market in the first half of 2026, delivering 555,700 vehicles to customers worldwide, up 9.1% year on year. In Europe (EU27+4), the carmaker remained the second-best-selling brand, retaining the position it held after the first quarter. Driven by growing customer demand for electric vehicles, deliveries of the all-electric Elroq and Enyaq rose 48.3% year on year to 108,200 vehicles. These results make Škoda the fourth-best-selling BEV brand in Europe.

Škoda is renaming one of the UK’s most significant national parks to mark the introduction of the new all-electric Peaq. For one week only, the park will become the Peaq District, encouraging staycationers to explore the UK’s outdoor spaces after research revealed that nearly a third of people (29%) have never visited one of its national parks.

The 113th Tour de France gets under way on Saturday with the Grand Départ in Barcelona, Spain. Škoda Auto is the main partner of the world’s most famous cycling race for the 23rd consecutive year and will present its two new all-electric models to the public for the first time: the Škoda Epiq and the new flagship Škoda Peaq. The Peaq SUV will serve as Race Director Christian Prudhomme’s ‘Red Car’ on 12 of the 21 stages. For the remaining stages, he will use a Superb iV plug-in hybrid as his mobile command centre.

Škoda Auto has unveiled interior design sketches of its all-new electric seven-seater flagship, the Škoda Peaq. The illustrations show a cabin that combines generous space and clean architecture and provides a lounge-like atmosphere shaped by comfortable materials and an intuitive user interface. The world premiere will take place in Monnetier-Mornex, France, on 23 June 2026 at 18:25.

Škoda Auto has appointed Chris Froome, one of the world’s most successful road cyclists, as an international Brand Cycling Ambassador. The renowned rider will take part in a range of Škoda cycling activities, including those around the upcoming Tour de France. He will make his first appearance in his new role at the world premiere of the all-new electric Škoda Peaq on 23 June.

Series production of Škoda’s new all-electric entry model, the Epiq, has begun at the Volkswagen Navarra plant in Pamplona, Spain. As part of the Electric Urban Car Family from the Volkswagen Brand Group Core (BGC), this marks an important step in strengthening synergies within the BGC: all four models from CUPRA, Volkswagen and Škoda will be produced at plants in Spain.

Škoda has confirmed final UK specifications, pricing and order details for the new, all-electric Epiq. The Epiq extends the brand’s electric model range into the entry-level segment, combining compact dimensions with a spacious interior and high everyday usability.

The brand’s most affordable all-electric compact SUV is Škoda’s first series-production model to fully implement all aspects of the Modern Solid design language, focusing on clear layout and minimalist style. The world premiere will take place in Zurich at 2 p.m. on 19 May 2026.
