How reserving a car works

Reserving a new Škoda online is quick and easy. Once you’ve found a car you like using our stock locator, you can reserve it with a fully refundable £99 fee. This marks the vehicle as reserved online for 5 days while your chosen Škoda Retailer gets in touch to confirm the details and next steps. If the vehicle is available, you’ll be able to finalise your purchase directly with the Retailer including part exchange, finance options, and collection or delivery arrangements.

Can I see cars available at my local Škoda Retailer?

Yes. Once you enter your postcode, the locator will show vehicles available nearby. You can also adjust the search radius to see more options.

Are the cars shown definitely available?

Availability is updated regularly, but we cannot guarantee that all vehicles are available. Your chosen Škoda retailer will confirm availability.

Why are some cars available now and others not?

‘Available immediately’ means the car is already at the retailer and is ready for collection. Where a lead time is displayed, this means the car is on it's way to the retailer so will not be available for collection until the time shown. 

Reservation FAQs

How do I reserve a car online?

Once you’ve found a car you like, click ‘Reserve Now’ and follow the steps to complete a £99 credit card pre-authorisation fee. This marks the car as reserved for 5 days while your chosen Retailer contacts you to complete your order.

Is the £99 reservation fee refundable?

Yes. It is a credit card pre-authorisation so the money is never debited from your account. It is released after 5 days (plus any period imposed by your bank) after 5 days regardless of whether you complete the other or not. You can request to release it sooner using the cancellation link in your confirmation email. 

What happens after I reserve a car?

Your selected Škoda Retailer will get in touch to confirm your order, including finance or part exchange details if required, and arrange collection or delivery.

Can I reserve more than one car?

No, you can only reserve one car at a time. If you change your mind, you can cancel and reserve a different vehicle.

Can I apply for finance when I reserve a car?

Yes. Through Škoda Financial Services, we offer online finance application for selected finance products for both new and used cars. You can choose to reserve with or without an online finance application. If you choose to reserve only, your Retailer will guide you through the finance options once they contact you.

Terms of use

  1. This Site includes a tool that allows you to search for and locate selected new and used Škoda vehicles that are available for purchase from a Škoda Retailer based on your search criteria (the "Stock Locator").
  2. The display of vehicles and search results through the Stock Locator, and your use of this tool to select a vehicle and/or make an enquiry: a) does not create a contract or other binding obligation between you and us or a Škoda Retailer; and b) is not a vehicle order or an offer capable of acceptance.
  3. The vehicles displayed on the Stock Locator are not updated in real time and therefore it is possible that they may have already been sold by the Škoda Retailer or otherwise be unavailable (even if you are able to reserve them on the Stock Locator). In this instance, your Škoda Retailer will respond to your enquiry accordingly, making you aware of alternative vehicles they have available.
  4. The sale agreement for any vehicle listed by the Stock Locator is not concluded on the Site and you will need to visit the applicable Škoda Retailer to make your purchase. The purchase process will start when you visit the applicable Škoda Retailer in the same way it would if purchasing a vehicle in person from a retailer's showroom. A Škoda Retailer representative will provide and discuss with you the terms and conditions relating to your purchase of the vehicle.
  5. If you decide to purchase the vehicle, the agreement for the purchase will be between you and the applicable Škoda Retailer. We (Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited) do not enter into these agreements and, as we are not a party to them, do not have any obligations under them.
  6. A reservation through the Stock Locator is not a vehicle order. The reservation option provides you with an opportunity to have a vehicle set aside by the Škoda Retailer for 5 days, once the Škoda Retailer has confirmed that that vehicle is still available, when you complete the form within the tool and provide a credit card pre-authorisation for £99. This pre-authorisation does not debit your bank account. The amount is blocked for a period of 5 days. After this period, the credit card pre-authorisation is automatically cancelled, without you having to act and without any further information from us or your bank.
  7. Once you have completed the reservation process within the Stock Locator, you will receive an email to confirm that your request has been passed to the relevant Škoda Retailer and that the pre-authorisation has been placed on your credit card. The Škoda Retailer will contact you by email or telephone to confirm if the vehicle you requested is still available and to set up an appointment for ordering the vehicle.
  8. You can reserve a maximum of one vehicle through the Stock Locator at any time.
  9. Your reservation is not a commitment to purchase. The pre-authorisation will be cancelled regardless of your decision to order the vehicle from the Škoda Retailer. Therefore the £99 reservation pre-authorisation is not deducted from any payment made to the Škoda Retailer. You can terminate your reservation at any time by following the link on your confirmation email, or you can simply allow the credit card pre-authorisation to expire. The credit card pre-authorisation cannot be returned any sooner than the period imposed by your bank (please check with your bank for details).
  10. If you reserve a vehicle already sold by the Škoda Retailer or which is otherwise not available, the Škoda Retailer will contact you by email or telephone to make you aware and offer alternative available vehicles. In the event that a suitable alternative cannot be sourced, the £99 credit card pre-authorisation cannot be returned any sooner than the period imposed by your bank.
  11. As part of the ordering process, it is exclusively up to the Škoda Retailer to provide you with all the pre-contractual information about the vehicle and then if applicable to agree to all the terms and conditions of the vehicle order including the price, financing conditions and delivery date. The vehicle sales contract is directly between you and the Škoda Retailer. Please address any queries or issues to the Škoda Retailer.
  12. You must order a vehicle which you have successfully reserved from the Škoda Retailer within 5 days of the reservation. The Škoda Retailer may offer the vehicle to other customers after this time, even if your credit card pre-authorisation has not yet expired and the £99 is still blocked within your account.
  13. Prices displayed for new cars through the Stock Locator are the manufacturer's recommended 'on the road price' and do not include any retailer offers, discounts, allowances or trade-in values. Prices, specification and other vehicle information are subject to change without notice and may therefore differ at the time of order from the prices and other vehicle information displayed in the Stock Locator. A large number of vehicles are listed within the Stock Locator and it is always possible, despite our efforts, that some vehicles may be incorrectly priced, described or pictured within this tool or may be or become unavailable. Always speak to the Škoda Retailer to confirm the most up to date availability, price, specification and other vehicle information before placing your order.
