What is the London Scrappage Scheme?

The Mayor of London has funded a £160m scrappage scheme, which provides financial assistance to help eligible London residents scrap vehicles that don't meet the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) emissions standards. The zone expanded across all London boroughs on 29 August 2023.

How does it work?

The ULEZ expansion and scrappage scheme is helping clear London's air by providing grant payments to successful applicants to scrap or retrofit vehicles that do not meet the emissions standards and switch to cleaner, greener modes of transport.
