Milton Keynes, 24 February 2016 - The upgraded Superb Estate, which complies with the rigorous new standards for police dog vehicles set out by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), has been designed to transport general purpose police dogs, as well as trained drugs-search and explosives-detection dogs.
Available in either two or four-wheel drive, each vehicle goes through a police vehicle conversion service, with bespoke interior features to keep the dogs safe, cool, and comfortable. Eight vehicles have already been snapped up by one customer, and a demo version hits the road this week for a year-long tour of forces across the country.
The tour kicks off in South Yorkshire with different police forces trialling the car over a period of weeks.
ŠKODA is inviting additional forces to get in touch and register for their free trial. Police forces wishing to register their interest in testing the Superb dog vehicle on loan can do so by emailing
email@example.com or calling 01908 548043.
The new Kodiaq, Superb and Octavia proved an unbeatable trio as ŠKODA took home three category wins at the 2017 Auto Express New Car Awards and a special award for its Reconnection advertising campaign. The awards were made at the title’s annual ceremony in central London, where the judging panel praised ŠKODA’s winning models for their quality, practicality and value for money.
It’s the vRS that packs the mightiest punch ever: the new Octavia vRS 245 has just touched down in the UK. Delivering 245PS and 370Nm of torque, the new sporting flagship of the range launches with an equally headline-grabbing price that starts from £27,595.
ŠKODA customers are the happiest car owners in Britain, according to the UK's largest independent automotive customer satisfaction survey, Driver Power. The brand secured an incredible gold rush of awards in the Driver Power 2017 New Car Survey with the Superb and Yeti proving to be the star performers, taking first and second place in the overall Car of the Year ranking. The duo also took top honours in their respective segment categories, outscoring the competition in the survey's individual vehicle attribute sections. In total, ŠKODA was awarded 10 Gold, Silver and Bronze awards.
