ŠKODA has scooped two trophies at this year’s honestjohn.co.uk awards. The Octavia was ranked the number one ‘Large Family Car’, while the Yeti won in the ‘Crossover’ category.

Milton Keynes, 16th May 2014 The honestjohn.co.uk awards are unique in that they’re not decided by expert judges. Instead they’re based on what the website’s users search for most. The fact ŠKODA has won two different awards proves how popular the brand is with real-world car buyers.

Dan Harrison, editor of honestjohn.co.uk, commented: “When it comes to choosing the perfect family car, few models can compete with the spaciousness and affordability that the ŠKODA Octavia offers.”

He added: “According to our users, the Octavia ticks all of the hatchback boxes, with high praise for its refinement and excellent range of efficient engines.”

Commenting on the ŠKODA Yeti’s victory in the ‘Crossover’ class, he said: “We're big fans of this car, it's one of the ones we recommend most to users. It's easy to recommend thanks to its compelling blend of family practicality, impressive engines and quirky style.”

The data used to make the awards is taken from Google Analytics. It calculates the number of page views each car review has had in the 12 months from April 2013 to April 2014. The site gets around 1.6 million visits every month, with the majority of these users viewing car reviews.
