Having been working with Škoda in Aylesbury as a repairer since May 2009, the team at Hughes have a wealth of experience working with the brand and already run one successful Škoda retailer and repairer based at Farnham Common.
Located on Bicester Road, the retailer will be offering the full range of award-winning Škoda models, including the brand new Fabia vRS and the Yeti, recently named Auto Express Car of the Year 2010, in addition to full servicing for all Škodas, as well as a selection of used cars.

The current Škoda range consists of five models: the Fabia super-mini, the innovative Roomster MPV, the multi-purpose Octavia, the Yeti crossover and the luxurious Superb. The most recent addition to the range was the hotly anticipated return of the Fabia vRS, the fast-paced derivative of the Fabia hatch.
Unveiled in July 2010 the Fabia vRS has become an icon of the Škoda range and is the fastest production Fabia ever built. The new model builds on its predecessor’s reputation for high performance, low running costs and remarkable value for money and includes a three-spoke multi-function leather sports steering wheel with paddles, seven speed DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) transmission as standard and 1.4 litre TSI turbo and supercharged engine, combined with the car’s sporty design.
2010 has been a record breaking year so far for Škoda, most recently the manufacturer was honoured at the Auto Express awards scooping five awards at the prestigious event. ŠKODA is encouraging the uptake of latest generation, lower-emission new cars by today launching a new scrappage scheme for Euro 1 to 4 emissions standards vehicles. Under the terms of the ŠKODA programme all qualifying vehicles will be permanently taken off the road and scrapped.

ŠKODA customers are the happiest car owners in Britain, according to the UK's largest independent automotive customer satisfaction survey, Driver Power. The brand secured an incredible gold rush of awards in the Driver Power 2017 New Car Survey with the Superb and Yeti proving to be the star performers, taking first and second place in the overall Car of the Year ranking. The duo also took top honours in their respective segment categories, outscoring the competition in the survey's individual vehicle attribute sections. In total, ŠKODA was awarded 10 Gold, Silver and Bronze awards.
ŠKODA UK has launched its first online showroom. Customers can access the ŠKODA Live Tour on their computer, tablet or smartphone – and gain the showroom experience at a time and place that suits them. ŠKODA Live Tour instantly connects the customer to a ŠKODA Product Host by an internet video link, who takes them into the Live Tour showroom and introduces the ŠKODA models.
ŠKODA’s new compact SUV is called the KAROQ. The name and its spelling originate from the language of the Alutiiq, an indigenous tribe who live on an island off the southern coast of Alaska. For the name of the new compact SUV, ŠKODA has drawn on the spelling of the ŠKODA KODIAQ and in doing so, has created a consistent nomenclature for the brand’s current and future SUV models. The ŠKODA KAROQ will be introduced to the public for the first time in Stockholm on 18 May and represents a further milestone in ŠKODA’s SUV campaign.
ŠKODA's appearance at the Shanghai Motor Show 2017 (19 – 28 April) is characterized by electric change: With the Vision E study, the company provides its first brand-specific outlook on the future of individual mobility. The emotionally designed five-door SUV coupé can travel up to 500 kilometres on purely electric power and meets the level 3 requirements for autonomous driving. ŠKODA is intensively pursuing the electrification of its model range, and will be offering five purely electric models in various segments by 2025.

ŠKODA has announced that ordering for the new
Octavia vRS and Scout ranges will open on 1 March, with prices starting from £25,130
cylinder capacity, more power. In the ŠKODA FABIA and ŠKODA FABIA ESTATE, a 1.0
TSI engine with three cylinders and four valves is replacing the 1.2-litre
engine with four cylinders that has been used to date. The new engine offers more
power. The power output of the ŠKODA FABIA 1.0 TSI is 95 PS, while the output
of the more powerful version is at 110 PS but offers an improved torque figure of
200 Nm (previously 175 Nm). Downsizing offers another advantage: the engine’s
fuel consumption has been reduced by up to six per cent. One reason for this is
the three-cylinder engine concept with a reduced weight of the free inertial
forces and a more efficient oil pump. The revised ŠKODA FABIA and ŠKODA FABIA
ESTATE will be introduced to the public for the first time at the Geneva
International Motor Show (7-19 March 2017).
ŠKODA has delivered its two-millionth vehicle in China. The milestone vehicle is a ŠKODA SUPERB with a 1.4 TSI engine in Polar White. Werner Eichhorn, ŠKODA Board Member for Sales and Marketing, handed over the brand's flagship to customer Li Hongan in Shanghai. China is the largest single market for the long-established Czech brand. In 2017, ŠKODA is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its entry into the Chinese market.
