In developing the new ŠKODA Octavia, an important goal was to make the car even safer. To achieve this, ŠKODA engineers have developed a host of cutting-edge safety systems for the new Octavia. Their attention to detail has been rewarded with the new ŠKODA Octavia achieving a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating.
With 590 litres of luggage space with the rear seats up and 1,580 litres with them down, the new Octavia offers an exceptional amount of space. It’s not just the boot that’s bigger – the wheelbase is 108mm longer, giving passengers in the back even more leg room than before.
Despite its increased size and the additional technology on board, the new Octavia is actually 102kg lighter than its predecessor. This was achieved thanks to advanced lightweight engineering, a progressive body design, the utilisation of high and ultra-tensile steel and the careful selection of materials.
