New Škodas
Are Škoda bringing out any new models?
We are now pleased to announce that the New Fabia estate has arrived. Like the New Fabia hatch, the estate is full of lovely stuff. Stuff like Central door locking, ABS (Anti-lock Breaking System) and driver, passenger and side airbags. Not to mention the new car has an amazing boot capacity and interior space – the biggest in its class. Another addition to the Fabia family is on its way too. The Fabia GreenLine will be available in both Hatch and Estate versions. It is the most fuel efficient and environmentally friendly car that Škoda has ever produced and is also one of the most frugal models in the small car segment today. The 1.4 TDI 80bhp + DPF engine offers a CO2 emission figure of 109g/km and a fuel economy of 68.9mpg. New 14” Fun alloys, air conditioning and remote central locking are just a few examples of what comes as standard on the new GreenLine. Later in the year we will be introducing the New Superb. The New Superb offers generous interior space and a striking new look. There will be 3 petrol and 3 diesel engines available the UK line up is still to be confirmed. More details will follow soon so keep a close eye on the Superb section of the site for exciting updates and images. Your
retailer
will be happy provide you with further details on these exciting additions to the range.

What happened to the cake that was used in the new Fabia cake advertisement?
Once filming was complete, our original intention was to offer the Fabia cake to local charities, schools and hospitals. Unfortunately as the car had been under studio lights for several days, it may have posed a health and safety risk if eaten. Some goodies from the car were preserved and vacuum packed such as the marzipan wing-mirrors, chocolate speedometer, wafer engine fan and the Fabia badge icing, and will be held as mementos of the production. It was decided the cake should be recycled instead. It was taken away to a place called the East London Community Recycling Project in Clapton. The project has been set up to provide local residents and members with quality compost for use on their gardens and allotments.

The use of this fuel requires no modifications to the vehicle or changes to the vehicles’ maintenance schedule, and does not affect the vehicle warranty. 100% RME Biodiesel is slowly becoming more available on the forecourts and the table below highlights what vehicles from our range can run on this fuel.

Servicing a Škoda
Can I go to a non Škoda retailer for servicing?
You are of course free to choose where you have your vehicle serviced. However, we would always recommend that a
Škoda Retailer
is used as they receive full training in the servicing of Skoda vehicles and are kept up-to-date with technical information. Having a service completed at a non-franchised retailer will not in itself invalidate the warranty. However, should any difficulty arise that is deemed to be as a direct result of incorrect/incomplete servicing, any remedial work required would not be covered under your new vehicle warranty.
Can Škoda supply me with a courtesy vehicle while my car is being serviced?
All Škoda retailers operate courtesy cars, however, they are subject to availability and prior appointment. To find out about availability, contact your
local retailer.
How frequently should I get my car serviced?
The service requirements will vary depending upon the model and engine. Fabia and Roomster models require a lubrication service at 10,000 miles and an inspection at 20,000 miles or 12 months whichever is sooner. All new Octavia and Superb models can operate on either a fixed or a variable servicing regime. On variable servicing, intervals are determined by driving styles and conditions of use. The on-board computer will indicate when a service is required which could be up to approx. 20,000 miles for petrol engines, 30,000 miles for 4 cylinder diesel and 24,000 miles for V6 diesel. Further information may be found in the Service Schedule contained within the vehicle document wallet or by contacting your
local retailer.
All franchised retailers can fulfil your warranty and servicing requirements. To find your local retailer please click here.
