Octavia Hatch Interior Features

The new features and layout of the interior emphasise even more the feeling of comfort and safety. The Octavia now offers a completely new generation of three and four-spoke steering wheels, radio and navigation systems, available throughout the model range.



The instrument panel is a great example of progressive, elegant design, well arranged with soft, touch-friendly surfaces. White LED illumination provides an elegant contrast against the black instrument panel while the traditional green under-lighting of the rest of the electronic components creates a sound combination which does not act as a disturbance when driving.

Height and reach adjustable steering wheel and drivers seat

Height and reach adjustable steering wheels and height adjustable drivers seat are standard across the range. This enables a person of any size to get comfortable behind the wheel thus improving safety.

Media systems

There are three media systems available for the Octavia range – two of which use the latest touchscreen technology with intuitive menu systems. The ‘Bolero’ stereo with integrated 6CD autochanger (standard on SE and above) also has an integrated SD card slot so that MP3’s can be played through the stereo, whilst the ‘Columbus’ satellite navigation system (option on SE and above) has a 30GB hard drive used to store maps of western Europe and MP3 music and an SD card slot.

Manual air conditioning

Octavia S and SE models are available with standard manual air conditioning. Dual-zone air-conditioning allows driver and passenger to have two temperatures differing by ±6 degrees, is available as an option on SE models and standard on Elegance models and above.

Multi function display/On board computer

Octavia is available with two computers. The basic trip computer is standard on all models (exc S and L&K) and displays info such as time, exterior temperature, average fuel consumption and distance and time driven. The maxi-dot trip computer (optional on SE upwards, standard on L&K) has the same information as the trip computer, but allows greater control over some of Octavias other features.
